Online Aircraft Detailing Course: Shiny Jets Masterclass

Updated October 2026 · By Brett Berry

The Shiny Jets Online Aircraft Detailing Masterclass is a $2,000, self-paced video course of about 7 hours. It covers my methods for washing, paint decontamination, oxidation removal, polishing, brightwork, de-ice boots, paint protection and interiors, plus pricing, AI tools and getting customers. You get a printable certificate when you finish.

I built this course for people who want to learn aircraft detailing the right way but can't get to Chino yet. Here's exactly what's in it and how it compares to the in-person classes.

Who is the online aircraft detailing course for?

  • Auto detailers who want to move into aircraft.
  • People starting an aircraft detailing business who want the methods and the business side first. (Start with how to start an aircraft detailing business.)
  • Detailers already working on aircraft who want a structured system and better pricing.
  • Anyone planning to attend a hands-on class who wants to arrive prepared.

What does the online course cover?

Area What's covered
Getting started Aircraft parts descriptions, customer descriptions, microfiber towels, downloadable pre-wash inspection flows (Cirrus, King Air, Gulfstream)
Washing and glass Dry wash, cleaning aircraft windows, unpressurized window polishing
Paint Decontamination tools and methods, oxidation removal, restoration tools, polishing
Brightwork Brightwork polishing tools and methods
De-ice boots Tools, supplies and how to prep and seal pneumatic de-ice boots
Protection Wax, sealants and ceramic coatings
Interior Maintenance cleaning, leather cleaning and conditioning, carpet cleaning, and the tools and supplies for each
Business Pricing calculators, 12 months of Shiny Jets CRM and the Pricing App, how to get customers

What's new in the course?

I recently added three modules:

  • AI tools for your detailing business: using AI to write quotes and proposals, turn job photos into content, answer customer questions on your website, write follow-up emails and automate booking confirmations, plus the tools and workflows I use to run Shiny Jets.
  • Shiny Jets CRM setup: setting up your service menu and hourly rates, connecting Stripe to take payments through your quotes, sending your first quote, quoting 200+ aircraft models with the pricing app, managing jobs and setting up recurring maintenance agreements in Shiny Jets CRM.
  • Getting your first customers: how to approach an FBO for vendor approval, walking the ramp, the one aircraft you should detail for free, getting photos and testimonials, EAA chapters, pricing your first maintenance agreement, follow-up email templates, and how to go from 1 client to 10 in 90 days.

Is an online aircraft detailing course worth it?

If it gets you pricing jobs correctly and avoiding a costly mistake on someone's airplane, it pays for itself fast. Many of my students recoup their training cost in 2 to 3 jobs, sometimes with a single ceramic coating job. Online won't replace having me look over your shoulder on a real aircraft, which is why some people start online and add a hands-on class later. Frequently asked questions

How much is the Shiny Jets online aircraft detailing course?

The Online Aircraft Detailing Masterclass is $2,000.

How long is the online aircraft detailing course?

It's about 7 hours of video, emailed to you when you purchase. You watch it at your own pace.

Do I get a certificate from the online course?

Yes. You get a printable certification when you complete the course. It shows you finished the training; it is not an FAA certification, because no FAA certification exists for aircraft detailers.

Is the online course enough, or do I need hands-on training?

Online is a great way to learn the methods, pricing and business side. If you want me checking your hands on a real aircraft, the 3-Day or 5-Day in Chino is the next step. Both include Shiny Jets CRM and the Pricing App, and the 5-Day also includes the full online course.

What's included besides the videos?

The product page lists 12 months of Shiny Jets CRM and the Pricing App, pricing calculators, downloadable pre-wash inspection flows for the Cirrus, King Air and Gulfstream, and access to our online forum, which is active.
