How Shiny Jets Certification Works
Every student carries a Station Sign-Off Card for all three days of aircraft detailing training. At the end of each station, an instructor inspects the work against a written standard and either signs off, coaches and re-checks, or holds for re-do. You don't move forward with unverified work.
Day 3 ends with a solo final practical — one panel ceramic-coated under direct observation. Pass and you walk out certified, with your Shiny Jets Detailer Directory listing live the same week. If your work needs more time, the certificate is held until you submit follow-up video proof within 30 days.
That's why a Shiny Jets aircraft detailing certification means something. Customers hiring a Shiny Jets-certified detailer know the work was inspected — not just attended.

How is this Different from the Online Aircraft Detailing Course?
The Shiny Jets online aircraft detailing course is a full curriculum you study at your own pace, covering every aircraft type from light sport to heavy iron. The Hangar Intensive is the opposite — three compressed days of supervised hands-on work on real aircraft, no screen time. Some students do both. Most pick the one that matches how they learn.
Aircraft Detailing Training FAQ
Do I need experience to take the aircraft detailing course?
You should be comfortable detailing cars, boats, RVs, or similar before this course. We are not teaching basic detailing fundamentals — we are teaching aviation-specific work on real aircraft.
What should I bring to the aircraft detailing training?
Closed-toe non-marking shoes, work clothes you don't mind staining, water bottle, notebook. We supply all products, tools, pads, towels, and PPE.
Can I bring my own equipment?
You'll use the same Fly Shiny aviation product line and tools we use on real customer aircraft. Bringing your own complicates training consistency. Save it for after you're certified.
Is a hotel included with the aircraft detailing certification?
No. There are hotels within 5–10 minutes of Chino Airport (CNO). We'll send a list when you register.
What if I don't pass the final practical?
You have 30 days to submit video proof of the corrected work. Pass that review and the certificate is issued. We'd rather you do it right than rush it.
How fast does the aircraft detailing course fill up?
10 seats per class. When it's full, it's full.
Will I be able to start charging for aircraft detailing after the course?
That's the goal. You leave certified, listed in the Shiny Jets Detailer Directory, and with your Shiny Jets CRM Pro account ready to send quotes. The work after the course is on you, but the tools and training are in your hands.
Optional add on: window polishing $500
