The Business Stack — Built During the Course
The four afternoon business setup sessions on Days 1–4 are what separate the Masterclass from every other aircraft detailing course. By the end of Thursday, you don't just have a certificate coming. You have:
- A fully configured Shiny Jets CRM Pro account with your services, pricing, products uploaded, and intake forms set up
- Your Shiny Jets Detailer Directory listing live and accepting leads
- A clear plan for your website with embed instructions for your CRM and quote forms
- Marketing and growth strategies tailored to your local market
- Business setup guidance — pricing structure, customer acquisition, what to charge for which services
Friday is hands-on brightwork only. No classroom. By 3:00pm you're certified, packed up, and on your way home — with a business that's already live.
How Shiny Jets Certification Works
Every Masterclass student carries a Station Sign-Off Card for all 5 days. At the end of each station, an instructor inspects the work against a written standard and either signs off, coaches and re-checks, or holds for re-do. You don't move forward with unverified work.
Day 5 ends with a final practical sign-off. Pass and you walk out certified, with your Shiny Jets Detailer Directory listing live the same day. If your work needs more time, the certificate is held until you submit follow-up video proof within 30 days.
Who Teaches the Course
Brett Berry, founder of Shiny Jets and author of Beyond Shiny: The Shiny Jets Approach to Aircraft Detailing, leads the course. With 15+ years of hands-on aircraft detailing experience on everything from piston singles to business jets, Brett teaches the same workflows used at Aircraft Salon on real customer aircraft.

Aircraft Detailing Masterclass FAQ
Do I need experience to take the Masterclass?
No experience required. The online course starts from the foundation and builds up. Most students complete the online portion in 2–4 weeks before arriving for the in-person week. Complete beginners graduate certified every cohort.
What should I bring?
Closed-toe non-marking shoes, work clothes, water bottle, notebook, and a laptop for the afternoon CRM and business setup sessions. We supply all products, tools, pads, towels, and PPE.
Is a hotel included?
No. There are hotels within 5–10 minutes of Chino Airport (CNO). We'll send a list when you register.
Do I have to complete the online course before the in-person week?
We strongly recommend it. The hands-on week moves fast and the online course gives you the foundation to keep up. If you can't finish before, you keep lifetime access and can complete it after.
What time does the course end on Friday?
Friday class ends at 3:00pm so you can travel home that afternoon or evening. Days 1–4 run until 5:00pm.
What if I don't pass the final practical?
You have 30 days to submit video proof of the corrected work. Pass that review and the certificate is issued.
Will my CRM and directory listing actually be live by the end of the course?
Yes. By the end of Thursday's business setup session, your Shiny Jets CRM Pro account is configured, your directory listing is live, your intake forms are working, and you have website and software embed guidance to take home.
How long do I have access to the online course?
Lifetime access. Watch it before, during, or after the in-person week. Re-watch any module any time.
How much can I make as a certified aircraft detailer?
Entry-level detailers at FBOs typically start at $25–$35 per hour. Independent certified detailers running their own business typically charge $75–$150 per hour equivalent. Top earners with fleet contracts and premium services bill $150,000–$250,000 per year.
